Key reasons:

  • Bulkheads protect the container from the flexitank and vice versa;
  • Bulkheads will protect valves from the container and allow the right hand door to be open during filling and decant proceedures;
  • Bulkheads perform the function of managing flow surges of the liquid and the tank itself, which is particularly important when you consider the stop/start of road or rail transport and the rolling motion of a ship at sea.

Bulkheads are installed into containers with ContainerPac™ flexitanks for a number of  reasons

Flexitank Australia has designed and manufactured a patented 3 and 4 bar HMWPE thermo formed bulkhead that fully conform with the requirements of transport authorities and work hand in glove with ContainerPac™ flexitanks. In fact, it is now common practice and a COA requirement that when you purchase ContainerPac™ flexitanks, you must purchase ContainerPactm flexitank bulkheads from Flexitank Australia. This system based approach discourages mix and match using components from different sources. Insurance may be void if you do this.
